KKKim Kardashian is facing backlash for her Instagram Story amid Donald Trump’s inauguration.

After not endorsing either candidate during the November presidential election, the reality star seems to be expressing her allegiance now that Donald Trump has taken office.
On Monday, Jan 20, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a photo from Trump’s inauguration. The flick features the president’s wife, Melania Trump, getting out of a car to attend the event wearing an overcoat and wide-brimmed hat. Kim didn’t include any other context as to why she was sharing the picture, but fans across social media quickly interpreted it as an endorsement for the Republicans.
“How many times does Kim K have to remind us that she voted for Donald Trump?” one fan asked.
“Kim Kardashian is a weird piece of girl for these little “I support Trump and Elon” hints she be dropping through social media posts,” another user wrote. “Girl, stand on business. We know you’re full of s**t already anyway.”
While Kardashian didn’t officially endorse either candidate, the SKIMS founder does have a history with Trump and his family.
Kim went to the White House to advocate for criminal justice reform during the convicted felon’s first presidency. A month after her visit, the President granted clemency to Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.
Despite having worked with the reality star, it seems like her subtle support isn’t enough for Trump. According to the Independent, in a Truth Social rant in November 2023, he called Kardashian the “world’s most overrated celebrity.” He acknowledged that he helped “with prisoner commutation,” but “only if deserving, and much more so for Kanye West, Kim’s ex-husband, than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden.”
Supporting that man and his family just for him to call you overrated…alright, girl.
