Here’s the first trailer for Shudder’s upcoming sci-fi horror thriller titled Ash, and it looks like it will take audiences on a wild and psychedilic ride.
The movie was directed by musican and filmmaker Flying Lotus, and it has a strong cast that includes Eiza González (Baby Driver), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Iko Uwais (The Raid: Redemption), Beulah Koale, and Kate Elliott.
In the film, “On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.
Gonzalez said of the film: “Music gives you an ambiance. It definitely sets you up. So having this specific movie and his specific music being made at the same time was so incredibly helpful.
“Even little details he gave us, like, ‘I want such-and-such instrument predominantly throughout the movie,’ gave us a completely different vibe, especially for me and Aaron.
“We have a lot of scenes together, and our dynamic is super intense and crucial in the film, so it really made a gigantic difference.”
