Amazon MGM Studios has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for Jason Statham’s new action thriller A Working Man, from director David Ayer (End of Watch, Sabotage, Fury, Suicide Squad).
The video offers footage from the set, new action-packed footage from the film, and interviews with Ayer and some of the cast members, talking about the film’s story and the character that Statham plays. There’s a comment in the video that I loved about how Jason Statham is his own genre, because it’s so true!
In the story, Statham plays Levon Cade, who left his profession behind as a an ex-black ops agent to work construction and be a good dad to his daughter.
But when a local girl vanishes, he returns embrace his deadly skills that made him a mythic figure in the shadowy world of counter-terrorism.
It’s explained that “Levon is forced to use his old set of skills to find his boss’s teenage daughter and soon uncovers a criminal conspiracy that has the potential to wreak havoc on Levon’s peaceful life.”
The movie is based on the book Levon’s Trade written by Chuck Dixon, and it also stars David Harbour, Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, and Arianna Rivas as Jenny.
Statham and Ayer previously worked together on The Beekeeper last year. A Working Man will be released theaters starting March 28th, 2025.
