We finally have information on The Gilded Age season three!
Today (April 16), HBO confirmed the series would return in June. This aligns with Just Jared’s prediction from a few weeks ago that the series would return in June 2025, which we discovered due to some sleuthing.
Now, there’s first look images and a synopsis, too!
Here’s what HBO released about season three: The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic and social change, when empires were built, but no victory came without sacrifice. Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house. Peggy meets a handsome doctor from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear.
From the images that were released, it looks like Marion (Louisa Jacobson) and Larry Russell (Harry Richardson) are continuing their romance, Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga) and the Duke (Ben Lamb) are still being seen together, and of course, there’s images of Bertha (Carrie Coon), Agnes (Christine Baranski), Ada (Cynthia Nixon), Peggy (Denée Benton) with new character Dr. William Kirland (Jordan Donica) and another new character, Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkland (Phylicia Rashad), among others.
There’s also a big cast exit happening ahead of season three.
