The Williams sisters are stepping out for fashion’s biggest event of the year!
Serena Williams and older sister Venus Williams arrived separately at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 5) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
For the event, Serena, 43, wowed in a sea form green, silk dress paired with a matching long, quilted puffer cape while Venus, 44, rocked a forest green bedazzled polo shirt with a pleated high-low skirt and a matching coat decorated with dark green fringe along with lapels and sleeves.
Serena attended the event with former British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful while Venus walked the red carpet with Lacoste Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros.
The Met Gala will focus on menswear and suiting this year with a “Tailored for You” dress code. The event will celebrate the opening of the museum’s new exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. There are six celebrities serving as co-chairs for the 2025 gala, plus 25 more stars who are part of the host committee.
FYI: Serena is wearing an outfit by Moncler x EE72 and Fred Leighton jewelry. Venus is wearing Lacoste.
