Walton Goggins has a sense of humor about the comments that people have made about his appearance amid his surge in popularity from The White Lotus.
The 53-year-old actor joked about his new status as a sex symbol while giving the opening monologue on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.
Walton hosted the May 10 episode of the show for Mother’s Day and even welcomed his mother to the stage during the monologue!

“My character in White Lotus is pretty brooding, which the internet seemed to find attractive,” he said. “Some of my friends have even asked me, ‘Walton, what’s it like to become a sex symbol at 53 years old?’ And you know what, if I’m being honest, it feels fantastic.”
Walton then decided to show some of the headlines about himself, including a Cosmopolitan article that read, “Are We All Horny for Walton Goggins’s Receding Hairline?” He joked, “I’ve had the same hairline since I was seven. It’s not receding, it’s holding its ground.”
Walton‘s appearance on the show comes amid rumors of a feud with a cast member and the release of his shirtless magazine spread.
