CEO Andy Byron has been put on leave following being spotted in a viral video at a Coldplay concert.
A spokesperson for the tech company told PEOPLE on Friday (July 18) that the company has appointed an interim CEO while Andy is placed on leave.

“Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO given Andy Byron has been placed on leave. We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days,” the statement shared with PEOPLE states.
Andy went viral on Thursday (July 17) when footage of himself and a woman who is reported to be another executive at Astronomer were spotted getting cozy at a Coldplay concert. When the two of them ducked out of the view of the camera, frontman Chris Martin joked that the two of them must be “having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
The same day Andy was placed on leave, Astronomer revealed that they were launching an investigation into the event. The tech company says that a second woman seen in the video is not also an executive at the company as was previously rumored online.
