DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) is no longer in existence.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk started the department earlier this year to cut spending in the US government, and made waves in the first half of the year over the departments and agencies that were upended.

Eventually, several federal workers that were fired by DOGE were then asked to return to their jobs.

Now, a new report notes that the department no longer exists, eight months before it’s mandate was supposed to end.

“That doesn’t exist,” Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told Reuters.

The director also shared that DOGE is no longer a “centralized entity,” with employees being moved to different roles in the Trump administration.

According to Reuters, two of the DOGE employees are now with the National Design Studio, which was recently started through an executive order signed by Trump in August. Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia is leading the charge of the “studio,” which is to “beautify government websites.”

Elon Musk left DOGE and the administration back in May, after criticizing Trump‘s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” and further went to share more criticisms before praising the President again.
