Mckenna Grace has officially joined the cast of Scream 7. It was previously reported that she was in talks to play one of Sidney Prescott’s daughters and I assume that’s still the case.
She joins previously announced Neve Campbell, who will be reprising her role, as well as new cast members Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor and Asa Germann. May is playing one of the daughters of Sidney.
This next chapter of Scream will involve a “big time jump” following the events of the last movie. This is so that Sidney’s children have grown to an appropriate slasher movie age.
It was also previously reported that Scream 7 “will have two main storylines, one about Sid and her friends from the neighborhood, and the second one about Sid’s teen daughter Taylor (could be a codename) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface.”
Sid and Gale will reportedly find themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult. Courteney Cox will return as Gale Weathers, and Patrick Dempsey as Detective Mark Kincaid.
Scream creator and writer Kevin Williamson is set to direct Scream VII and Guy Busick, writer of 2022’s Scream and Scream VI, is penning the screenplay.
Scream 7 will release theatrically worldwide on February 27, 2026.
