Billionaire businessman David Siegel, founder of the timeshare company Westgate Resorts, has passed away at the age of 89 after battling cancer.

“But I find comfort in knowing that Victoria was there to greet him—the first thing he heard was “Dad,” followed by a big hug. And of course, Steven is there too. That thought brings me so much peace,” she added, referring to their daughter Victoria, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 18, and David‘s late son Steven.
David, Jackie, and their eight children were the subject of the popular 2012 documentary Queen of Versailles, which followed them as they lived in one of the most expensive homes in America. The documentary has since been turned into an upcoming Broadway musical starring Kristin Chenoweth.
Our thoughts go out to David and his loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace.
