The first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again have finally hit Disney+, and the show wasted no time delivering a gut punch to fans.

One of the biggest shocks of the premiere came with the brutal and seemingly final death of the beloved character Foggy Nelson.
In the opening episode, “Heaven’s Half Hour,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) share a moment at Josie’s Bar, rekindling that familiar trio dynamic.
But that nostalgia is quickly shattered when Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), strikes. He takes Foggy out in cold blood leaving him to die in Karen’s arms.
For many, it felt like a permanent farewell. But as it turns out, that might not be the case.
While speaking on the Phase Hero podcast, Marvel Studios’ Head of Television, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed that both Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will be back for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. That, of course, raises the big question… how?
I assume that the character will be included in flashback scenes. Foggy’s death is a pivotal moment that reshapes Matt’s journey, so undoing it, by bringing him back to life, would cheapen the weight of that loss.
Still, for fans who were devastated by his sudden exit, knowing he’ll be back in some capacity is at least some consolation.
