Julia Garner is talking The Fantastic Four!
Back in April 2024, it was announced that the 30-year-old Emmy-winning actress will be playing Shalla-Bal, who will become the Silver Surfer, in the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie.
In a new interview, Julia teased what her character will look like on the big screen.
Keep reading to find out more…“I can’t really speak a lot about that project,” Julia told Entertainment Weekly. “All I can just say is that I’m very lucky to have a part in that project, and the Fantastic Four are fantastic. They are so amazing in this. I’m very excited for people to see them.”
“I’m assuming that this Silver Surfer is gonna be really shiny like in the other previous ones and the comic books,” Julia teased. “So, yeah, that’s all I’m gonna say.”
Julia then confirmed that this was the first time Marvel courted her role a role in their cinematic universe.
“I feel like a lot of it has to do with casting and what feels right, but that’s not just Marvel; that’s any project,” Julia said. “You need to connect with the character.”
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to premiere in theaters on July 25, 2025.
