The Kansas City Chiefs ownership are suffering a terrible tragedy as one of their family members has passed away in the horrific Texas flooding that swept through a camp over the holiday weekend.
Tavia Hunt, who is the wife of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, shared that one of his cousins, nine-year-old Janie Hunt, passed away in the devastation. Janie was reportedly a camper at Camp Mystic when the flood hit. Eighty-two people were killed in this horrifying tragedy, with 28 of those being children. Twenty-seven were campers or counselors at the campsite, which was located along the Guadalupe River, CNN reports.

Tavia wrote on Instagram, “Our hearts are broken by the devastation from the floods in Wimberley and the tragic loss of so many lives – including a precious little Hunt cousin, along with several friend’s little girls. How do we trust a God who is supposed to be good, all knowing and all powerful, but who allows such terrible things to happen — even to children?”
