Miley Cyrus and her mom Tish Cyrus are setting the record straight on their Instagram unfollow drama.
The 32-year-old “Flowers” singer and her mom drew attention recently when Tish, 58, unfollowed Miley after she was seen spending time with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. According to the pair, there was nothing shady happening and it was nothing but an Instagram glitch.

On the Thursday (June 19) episode of Tish and oldest daughter Brandi Cyrus podcast, Miley set the record straight on why her mom unfollowed her.
“I went to see B-Ray, and you did mysteriously unfollow me – and then you got some backlash and suddenly knew how to press that follow button,” Miley recalled during the episode. She went on to explain that despite the speculation, the truth was a lot more simple.
Miley explained, “There’s a bug in Meta, it naturally unfollows the person that you follow with the most engagement. … I was either, like, ‘Mom lost her glasses and can’t see,’ which is what I thought happened. Then, there was actually a bug in Meta.”
