The new Paranormal Activity stage play might be even scarier than the movies, and that’s a high bar to reach!
The new play, featuring an original story based on the beloved film franchise, is proving that horror can even be terrifying when it’s performed live. The inventive staging will having you jumping out of your seats and you’ll probably be opening all your doors and closets when you get home.
Paranormal Activity opened at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles this past weekend and it’s a must-see for any horror fan. In the story, James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape the past…but they soon discover that places aren’t haunted, people are. The cast includes Cher Álvarez and Patrick Heusinger as the main couple alongside Shannon Cochran and Kate Fry in memorable supporting roles.
Cher has been seen on TV in shows like Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS: Hawaii while you might recognized Patrick from roles on Gossip Girl and Royal Pains. Both have an impressive list of stage credits!
The production is running through December 7 at LA’s Ahmanson Theatre before moving to Washington, D.C. for a run at Shakespeare Theatre Company and San Francisco for an American Conservatory Theater run.
