Vertical has released the first trailer for Milla Jovovich and Dave Bautista’s upcoming fantasy horror action film In the Lost Lands, which comes from director Paul W.S. Anderson’s (Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter).
The film is based on the epic short story from Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin, which “centers on a queen who, desperate to fulfill her love, makes a daring play.
“She sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys (Jovovich) to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce (Bautista), must outwit and outfight man and demon.”
If you enjoy the films that Anderson makes, then you’ll like what this one has to offer because this is exactly what you’d expect from him.
The director previously talked about the project, saying: “With In the Lost Lands, we’ve created a movie with a completely unique visual style and storytelling that uses cutting-edge technology to bring the story to life like never before.
“So, it was always important to me that it be seen on the big screen. That’s why I couldn’t be more thrilled that Vertical is bringing In the Lost Lands to American theaters.”
George R.R. Martin called director the film adaptation of his story “dark and twisted and atmospheric, and a lot of fun.”
Anderson co-wrote the script with Constantin Werner, and In the Lost Lands will hit theaters on March 7, 2025.
